Munich has a good airport
Visitor park at the airport
With us you immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the airport. From the visitor hill, watch jumbo jets or the huge Airbus A380 take off and land. Visit the new adventure playground or the interactive exhibition with your family. And if you want to see the planes up close, come along on one of our exciting airport tours. The visitor park is open all year round and accessible free of charge around the clock.
That's how exciting the visitor park is
Adventure playground: From Munich to the big wide world
The fun is guaranteed! Crawling, climbing and balancing. Past Asian dragon temples and pagodas, through the spectacular climbing jungle in South America to the desert of Africa. Here the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America become a tangible experience. In the big game plane you are the pilot and slide with the zip line over the runway and in the flight simulator (Venturer) a 3D experience awaits you!
Opening times & prices: The adventure playground is open all year round and free of charge around the clock.
Visitor hill: unique view
At a height of 28 meters you have a unique view of the runways. Observe the most varied of aircraft as they park on the apron and later take off powerfully, disappear in the clouds and fly into the distance. Visiting twice a day: the Airbus A380, the largest passenger aircraft in the world. If you don't just want to see the giant bird from a distance, you can also get very close on our A380 tour.
Opening times & prices: The visitor hill is accessible around the clock. Unfortunately, the path to the visitor hill is not suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Admission: 1 euro / person
Airport tours: Warning - plane from the right
Have you always wanted to know how the suitcases get on the plane? How does the refueling of the giant aircraft work or how big do the hangars in which aircraft are serviced have to be? Our airport tours bring you right into the heart of the airport world. With around 40 million passengers a year, our airport is a logistical masterpiece and our Airport Live Tour makes every aviator's heart beat faster. We offer the airport tours to both individual visitors and groups. You can find more information about the individual tours here.
Looking for a present? Give away fascination: Vouchers are also available for all of our tours.
Historic Airplanes: Legends of Aviation
Admire milestones in aviation history up close in the visitor park. Discover legendary airliners, board the cabins of the Super Constellation, the Douglas DC-3 and the Junkers Ju 52 and experience the feeling of flying from a bygone era.
Opening times & prices: The historic aircraft are accessible daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission: € 1 / person
Compete against each other on 18 lanes and prove your skills.

In the visitor center there is a free exhibition that gives a very interesting insight into the world of the airport. This is also something for the little ones! Here you will learn in a playful and very vivid way how an airport works. Outside in the actual visitor park, historical rescue helicopters and airplanes can then be viewed. Entrance fees for this area are EUR 0.50 or EUR 1. Be sure to go to the visitor hill: (costs again money). Here you can take great photos and have a good overview. The Emirates Airbus A380 now flies to Munich every day at around 1 p.m. Here you can watch the huge plane landing.

I took part in the light tour at Munich Airport this winter. You can take a bus across the airport and marvel at the beautiful lighting. Basically this is really a great idea because the lights at the airport are very nice and special. It was just a shame that it rained that day and then the windows in the bus were steamed up, so that you couldn't look out so well. You should therefore make sure that it is dry that day.
