U.S. election: students predict victory for Biden

The result of the US elections has already been determined for more than 5,000 German and American schoolchildren: Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States of America. At the online closing event of the U.S. Embassy School Election Project 2020, the students gave state by state their forecast of the election outcome.
This year 195 courses from all participants gave a forecast for their state until shortly before the election, so that several forecasts were available for individual states. The prognoses are not always unanimous, but a majority decision could be made for each state. The students see the challenger Biden in several key states ahead of Trump, which Trump won in 2016, for example in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania or Florida.
The US Embassy School Election Project 2020 is a further development of a project organized by the US Embassy in Berlin for the 2008, 2012 and 2016 presidential elections. The innovative curriculum for the project was developed by a project team from the US embassy, the Berlin educational organization LIFE e.V. and the Institute of English Studies at Leuphana University Lüneburg. With the support of the Transatlantic Outreach Program at the Goethe-Institut in Washington D.C. succeeded in networking school classes with American partner schools and thus enabling a direct transatlantic exchange of information in the election project.

As part of the US election project, the participating students submitted creative project results for a competition. 3 Berlin schools are among the winners and presented their product at the online closing event on November 2nd, 2020. You can find more winners here>
