Pharmacotherapy in urology

Introduction

With this book, we combine the objective of offering the clinician comprehensive and practical support through both the thematic conception and the presentation of the content. It is aimed at students and assistants in the initial phase of their clinical training as well as specialists with extensive clinical experience. It is also suitable as a "quick reference" and guide for daily work as well as for refreshing and updating pharmacological therapy concepts in urology. The book is divided into the following four main sections, which are intended to facilitate quick orientation: • Urological oncology, • Infections and interstitial cystitis, • Functional disorders, • Pain therapy. The reader will find concise articles on all topics, written by respected colleagues, which reflect the experience of the authors over a long period of time. Authors, editors and publishers have put a lot of effort into equipping this book in order to provide a quick and detailed overview with simple diagrams, informative and clear tables and understandable sketches. The editors would like to thank all authors for their enthusiasm for their collaboration and the speedy completion of their current reviews. Our special thanks also go to Springer-Verlag for the professional and quick realization of this book.
