Anyone who wants to set the tone in the world usually also has a strong military. How strong a military is can be measured in different ways. You can see how much a country spends on defense. The Global Fire Power portal publishes a list every year that shows this (according to the website, the current figures are from 2019). And where is Germany located? With almost 180,000 soldiers in 26th place - between Morocco (25th place) and Italy (27th place).
