Why is Tupac Shakur a legend

Tupac Shakur

Michael Eric Dyson

Legacy of a Legend

He was the best rapper in the world. Has sold millions of records. Traded in drugs. Sat in jail. And was the victim of an attack, the background of which is still unclear. The fascination of Tupac Shakur remains unbroken 25 years after his murder. His posthumously released albums, poems and films have made him a legend. Dyson goes on a search for clues. Lets former companions like Snoop Dogg have their say as well as Tupac's beloved mother, the Black Panther activist Afeni Shakur. This book is more than a musician's biography. It shows how 2pac has shaped our society.
