How can you help Tibet?

The world is a community project that challenges us all

The German Tibet Aid e. V. was founded in 1962 and has since taken care of the many thousands of Tibetan refugees who have had to leave their homeland since the occupation by China.

The youngest and oldest are hardest hit by emergency situations. That is why we have focused our aid organization on Tibetan children, young people and senior citizens.

Children and young people are the future, all over the world. If they can grow up with security and confidence and receive a solid education, they will become strong, self-confident personalities. In this way they can later take on responsibility themselves and campaign for a fairer world.

The elderly are deprived of their presence. The only thing left for them is the past. When an entire people is questioned, knowledge of the past is the foundation that keeps traditions and stories alive.

To ensure that the donations are used in the right place, we are in close contact with the government in exile in Dharamsala and the local Tibetans. We regularly visit the projects to see where help is still needed.
We advise and look at which necessary measures for a self-determined future should be implemented in the next step.

If we depend on the kindness of others at the beginning and at the end of our lives, why shouldn't we be helpful to others in the middle of our lives?
